2nd #PEGeeks Project Unveiled!

November 4, 2012

October 1st marked the release of my 1st ever app – TGfU Games PE for iOS devices.

A little over a month later, I am at the final stages of development of my 2nd app for the iOS App Store – Basketball PE.

I’ve been working on Basketball PE in conjunction with TGfU Games PE.  With the release of TGfU Games PE over a month ago, I’ve had more time at my disposal to finish up the last 1/3 of my 1st “sport-specific” app.  There are still some finishing touches before any potential release date.  Targeting either a late November- early December release OR a January release, perfect in time for PHE teachers returning to their gymnasium from break!

I’ve kept my cards close to my chest… up to now!

Here are a few key details behind the upcoming Basketball PE app.

1) 20000 words + 100 diagrams = 100+ games and counting!

2) Games are divided into 4 categories: Ball Handling, Defense, Passing, and Shooting.

3) Mathematically, 25 games per category.

4) Each document will contain the following information: Title of the game, main focus, equipment needed, rules of play, variations/progressions, learning/verbal cues, and a diagram.

Basketball PE is my 1st of potential “sport-specific” apps for physical and health education teachers and physical activity specialists.

Which sport would you like to see next?

As always, thank you for your continued feedback and support!
